I would like to know, what I have?
nickel-plated paperweight of a train. It reads,Lima Hamilton Corporation. "The Virginian Railway Company "Allegheny" type. I think it is a paperweight,because it is heavy. My husband thinks I'm wrong.
It sounds like one to me.Maybe a thank you from the Lima locomotive works to the Virginian railway for orders of Allegheny type steam engines.On the Virginian railway these were known as Blue Ridge type engines but they were Allegheny's.Lima merged with Hamilton in the late 40's.That should have some collectible value to a railroad fan.
