High Altitude & Early Delivery?
I am 36 wks 5 days pregnant and have lived in Denver for a year. I have heard that early births are more likely in High Altitude. I know the doctors here have a different scale they measure the baby's growth. Of course, they wont give me a time frame because there are so many factors. What are my chances of going early? I have talked to several women here that have not made it to 40 wks.

If you've lived there for more than a few weeks, your body has acclimated to the altitude change and you are no more likely to deliver early than a woman living anywhere else in the country. Just because you have talked to a handful of women (it's a handful compared to the total number of women who have lived in high altitude areas) who have delivered early doesn't mean there is a trend.
People who are already predisposed to preterm labor, or who are frequently changing altitudes when traveling are at higher risk for early delivery, but not people who have an otherwise normal pregnancy and who live in the high altitude area.
